Apprenticeship Application Deadlines

Please note the following deadlines for new Apprentices who would like to start their coursework in either the Summer 2019 or Fall 2019 at CCV.

For apprentices to start class at CCV for the Summer 2019 term:

  • April 1, 2019 - deadline for submitting a complete T.E.A.C.H. Apprenticeship Scholarship Application
  • Orientation Meeting for new Apprentices, Mentors & Sponsors must occur by the first week of April

For apprentices to start class at CCV for the Fall 2019 term:

  • May 15, 2019 - deadline for submitting a complete T.E.A.C.H. Apprenticeship Scholarship Application
  • Orientation Meeting for new Apprentices, Mentors & Sponsors must occur by June 1, 2019

Vermont's Child Care Apprenticeship Program is Recognized Beyond Our Borders!

The Washington Region Early Care Education Workforce Network Steering Committee identified apprenticeship as one of the top 5 successful strategies nationwide for on the job assessment of skills needed to improve the quality of child care.  Our program is highlighted as one of the Case Studies featured in the report Competency-Based Career Pathways.

The study pertains to the process used to develop competency assessments for Early Childhood Education (ECE) professionals, how these assessments are conducted and managed, and personal observations on the challenges and benefits of re-aligning ECE professional education and workplace practices towards more competency-based approaches.
