Contribution to the Apprenticeship Program received in honor of former SRS Commissioner Bill Young & former Deputy Commissioner Tom Moore!
“Bill and Tom strongly advocated for improved quality of early care in Vermont. This scholarship is a tribute to Bill and Tom’s belief in the incredible impact that early, positive influences by dedicated caregivers have on children.
The funds for this scholarship have been gifted by many people who wished to honor Bill and Tom’s retirement. These people share Bill and Tom’s commitment to the importance of doing all we can to help Vermont’s children grow to become productive, contributing citizens. In that regard, these gifts were given in order to help a child care provider attain additional education to help them provide a higher quality service to young children and their families.
We ask that the VT Child Care Industry & Careers Council disburse this scholarship to a child care provider or providers the board determines to be worthy candidates.”
