Vermont Child Care Apprentices and Mentors Wanted!NOW ACCEPTING NEW APPLICATIONS!
WHO QUALIFIES? Apprentices come from a variety of backgrounds. Typically they are individuals Mentors have extensive experience working with young children. Typically they have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Ed or related field. They are willing to provide ongoing support, on-the-job mentoring and perform weekly assessments with an apprentice. To meet US Department of Labor and VT Department of Employment and Training requirements, Apprentices and Mentors must work in the same child care program for formal supervision on the job and guidance through this professional journey. Benefits to the child care employer include high quality training for both apprentices and mentors.
