It costs approximately $ 2,000 the first year an apprentice or mentor participates in the apprenticeship program. This includes three college level courses for apprentices and a year long course and support for the supervisor. In the second and subsequent years, this rises to $4,000 as more coursework is taken, skills further develop and the Council endeavors to retain these skilled workers.

If you would like to support an apprentice or a mentor for a year or more, these figures may help you determine the amount of your gift.  If you would like, it may also be possible to have a personal connection to a child care apprentice in your area.

Gifts of any size are appreciated and will go directly into the support of an apprentice or mentor if this is your wish.

Thank you so much for supporting quality child care "one apprentice at a time"!
