Meet The Participants

Munchkinland Montessori is located on Woods Hill Road and serves children from September through May 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Munchkinland provides a unique learning opportunity to children, is recognized by The Montessori World Educational Institute and by the State of VT as a private school for ages 3 through Grade 2.

Apprentice Monique Baker started work at Munchkinland Montessori in the fall of 2009. She appreciates the Apprenticeship Program’s flexibility to work around her busy schedule. “I hope to learn and gain more knowledge of my job working with children and learning how to become a better teacher.”

Mentor/Owner Anita Honsinger holds a BA Degree from Norwich University in Family Psychology and Early Education. She has successfully been operating the Munkinland Montessori for over 28 years, first as a childcare program and now as a private school. She is excited to be joining the Apprenticeship family in order to increase the skills and knowledge in her facility. Currently Anita is guiding Apprentice Monique Baker along in the Program as they work side by side on a daily basis.
