Mentor's Course Description
The following course is offered for current and anticipated mentors in the VT Child Care Apprenticeship Program.
PURPOSE	To provide a solid foundation in mentoring.
METHOD	This training is held on Saturdays, from 9-4. Participants are engaged in interactive activities that cover a variety of topics including setting realistic expectations for their mentoring partnership, practical experience handling confidentiality issues, and providing feedback to another adult working with children.
DELIVERY	Trainings are held in various parts of Vermont to meet the needs of new mentors in the Apprenticeship Program. Please contact sue@vtchildcareindustry.org for more information. No college credits available at this time
DOCUMENTATION OF LEARNING	Training hours and attendance is documented through the Bright Futures Information System (BFIS), are announced through the Course Calendar and Documentation of Professional Development forms are distributed.
