Responsibilities

Commit to approximately two years of formal mentoring of an apprentice.

Develop your own written Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP) that includes the course in mentoring sponsored by the Apprenticeship Program.

Participate in all aspects of support for the mentor including monthly or bi-monthly meetings.

Use the designated assessment tools to document daily activities and skill development of the apprentice.

Be aware of the content of related instruction and work with the apprentice to ensure adequate opportunities to integrate assignments into on-the-job experience.
