Statement of Interest

To help prepare a smooth transition into VT’s Registered Apprenticeship for the Child Development Specialist, the first step in the process is to notify the VT Child Care Industry & Careers Council of your willingness to participate in the Apprenticeship Program. The first step in that process is to submit a Statement of Interest, which informs the Council you wish to participate and provides your educational history and work site experience.

In conjunction with the Statement of Interest for the Apprentice, the Council must also receive similar paperwork from a Mentor and Child Care Program, showing a support team is in place for a 2 year time frame. Upon receipt of all paperwork needed, consultation(s) and site visit(s) will occur to complete the application process through the VT Child Care Industry & Careers Council and the VT Department of Employment and Training, Apprenticeship Division.

*Please Note: If you would like to participate as an apprentice you should submit your "Statement of Interest" in conjunction with your accredited child care program's "Statement of Interest".
